Auslandschulen
The association assumes the following enterprising and strategic tasks:
- Representing the Swiss schools abroad interests with the general public, the economy and the authorities in Switzerland
- Organizing and conducting the annual 3 days conference of the Swiss schools abroad which helps the innovation, allows the exchange of experiences and promotes continuing education
- Employment contracts with Swiss teachers in European schools
- Connecting educational institutions in Switzerland and the Swiss schools abroad in order to promote both, innovations and exchange of experience
- Evaluating the schools’ location and its synergy potentials with other European schools, as well as examining new and additional locations
In addition educationsuisse, on behalf of the schools, cares for a number of service tasks as well:
- Exchange of information and communication with schools
- Financial coaching and consulting for economic and local decisions
- Contact with Swiss associations and Swiss teachers living abroad, bringing a Swiss touch in the international schools where they are working
- Management of social insurances (pension fund and AHV) for Swiss teachers, payment of insurance premiums and the preparation of the final payments
- Payment transactions on behalf of the schools and keeping its corresponding accounting
